How the calculation works
Expected weekly gross revenue = weekly enquiries × close rate × average won quote value. The difference between your two rates gives the incremental weekly scenario. Annual amounts use your chosen operating weeks, without rounding intermediate values.
A change from 22% to 30% is 8 percentage points. It is not an 8% relative increase. A lower assumed rate produces a negative revenue change. These arithmetic scenarios do not establish that response speed caused a change.
Validate the process with your own records
Track when each enquiry arrives, when a person or system first responds, when a complete quote is issued and whether the work is won. Compare similar enquiry types over equivalent periods. Allow time for quotes to close and check whether prices or lead sources changed.
An automation project can cover enquiry capture, routing and draft quotes. Define which prices require approval, how incomplete requests reach staff and who owns follow-up. Agree on response targets and verify them during a pilot.
